A product is called cruelty free when it’s manufactured by methods that do not currently involve experimenting on animals. This means that the ingredients may at some point have been tested on animals, but this is no longer necessary.
An organic product is one that relies on natural substances to be produced. The compounds used in production are directly or indirectly obtained from plants and animals.
If a product is dermatologist approved it means a doctor specializing in skin health has signed off on it and would suggest their patients. This does not mean it would be advised for all patients.

THC is one of the most commonly referred to compounds found in the cannabis plant, the other being CBD. 0% THC means that there are no detectable levels of THC in CBD products.
A phthalate free product means that the product in question contains 1,000 or less than 1,000 ppm (parts per million) of DEHP or DBP, two of the most common chemical compounds belonging to the class of phthalates.
It differs from a GMO Free label as that means the product may contain genetically modified ingredients but there will be no detectable GMO. A product advertised as No GMO is a product that has no ingredients that have been genetically modified.
Gluten is a mixture of proteins that is found in wheat, barley, rye and triticale. A gluten free product is one that does not contain this protein.
Parabens are a chemical compound that is used as a preservative, meaning it kills bacteria and prevents the product from decaying. It can disrupt hormones, harm reproductive organs, and cause skin irritation. Paraben free means that the product in question is formulated without this potentially harmful compound.
CBD is a chemical substance with medical benefits found in cannabis. Because it does not contain THC, medical grade CBD will not get you high.
If a product says there was no animal testing on the finished product, this means that the ingredients may have been tested on animals, but the product itself was not. If it says no animal testing, then niether the product itself nor its ingredients have been tested on animals.
